Playing Opportunities
In 2021 Kings Heath will be playing in the Super 8s development league. This is short format pairs cricket with the emphasis on participation and enjoyment. We will also be playing in the WCB Hardball Development League. This is also an 8 a side competition but the format is 20 overs of traditional cricket.

The opportunity to play hard ball cricket is also open to women who have developed their skills and confidence through playing in our softball team. Hardball cricket training for women and girls takes place on Friday evenings in the summer between 6:45 and 8:00 pm

Starting with softball, I quickly remembered how much I love the sport. Keen to progress, I started playing hardball last January and feel like I’ve learned so much in the time since then.
The last two seasons of hardball have been fantastic, despite the obvious complexities in recent months of getting training and matches back underway. The supportive coaching has been brilliant and it’s been great to be part of a team where we’ve all learned together and cheered each other on.
