Over the last three Summers the women of Kings Heath CC have joined in this National England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) initiative, having fun, making friends and being surprised by how much they learnt and improved. Perhaps you are fed up of watching you partners or children play cricket and are itching to have a go, or maybe you used to play at school or uni and want to get back into cricket. If so this is for you!
During 2020 our softball training sessions will run on alternate Fridays from Easter to July. Our friendly coaches will help you to get to grips with the basics and feel ready to play 'just for fun' or more competitively!
In 2020 Women's Softball Training runs from 6:30-8.00 pm on these Fridays:
If you plan to attend training sessions please keep an eye on the weather! If the weather has been persistently wet or rain is forecast call 07531 506893 to check whether the session will go ahead.
“There was fizz and food and fun to have. I can’t wait to play again this summer! Such a friendly and welcoming group of ladies- a cricket family x”
"I have always loved watching cricket but apart from a brief chance at university years ago there didn't seem much opportunity to have a go - until women's softball cricket. I loved our weekly training sessions which were great fun and the tournaments were friendly and relaxed with a bit of healthy competition thrown in too"
Following the recent announcement by Government regarding the reopening of grassroots sport, we are now awaiting guidance from the ECB before we set our plans for junior & senior cricket this year. If you have any questions please contact us.
